2014. Opening exhibition for the Musée Mohammed VI d’Art Moderne et Contemporain, Rabat.


In 2014, the artwork was removed from the Musée Mohammed VI d’Art Moderne et Contemporain in Rabat, just before its inauguration so as not to offend King Mohammed VI’s sensibilities. The pieces was never put back on display.


Biography:

Amina Benbouchta (Casablanca, 1963) is a multidisciplinary artist whose artwork reflects on the roles of women in a patriarchal society. She has held solo exhibitions in Morocco and collective exhibitions, also in Morocco, as well as in France and Spain.
