2011. Photo Elysée, Lausana.

In 2011, Lacoste, sponsor of the Prix Elysée, demanded the removal of the Palestinian artist from the list of finalists because her work wasn’t in keeping with the joie de vivre theme of the prize. The brand withdrew its sponsorship following the dispute that arose and the organisers cancelled that year’s edition in support of Sansour.
