Incident:

2012. Novosibirsk.

In 1968, at its opening at the Galerie Louise Leiris in Paris, the series was exhibited in a room restricted to adults. In 2012, part of the series was exhibited in Novosibirsk (Russia), restricted to people over 16 years of age. The head of the city’s Orthodox Church requested that the posters advertising the exhibition be removed from public spaces to protect children “from such degeneracy”.
